I have already bought my first Christmas present the vintage Millenium Falcon. I only wish I kept mine now! My son Freddie is into Star Wars which I am totally glad about as we can stay in all over Christmas watching the movies.
Some things I noticed whilst I was buying on eBay
I wasn't interested in auctions. Well it's for Christmas so Kelly and I were both on our laptops (sad I know) and hunted across eBay for the best items we could find. We decided auctions would have been ok in September but now in November it was BIN 7 days or 14 days maximum.
We needed it now and in any case these vintage pieces often get snapped up quickly and come with bits missing, so I would have time to purchase the extras later.
So perhaps change any listings you have from GTC and 30 days to 7 or 14 days to see if this makes a difference to your sales!
I would have liked to have seen a Best Offer or two on a listing in this category remember this doesn't cost any extra!
My Shipper I believe charged well over the odds for postage £12 if I recall. So my feedback will be poor on postage. Well he could have used my
parcel business and he could have saved me £4. Sorry but offer good postage.
It would also have been good with such a vintage product to see a
video as the item was slightly discoloured.

That said Freddie probably won't notice but this could have helped me choose between other offers.
But think about offering your postage for free. Or encourage your buyers to purchase multiple items with discounted postage. I would have been happy to have bought more from this seller if he sold some star wars figures.
What I wasn't too happy about was the millenium falcon arrived without the cockpit windscreen or ships radar. Don't get me wrong he pointed this out correctly in his description
but continued to sell these as seperate auction items which I thought was slightly naughty with a £1.99 postage fee come on this wouldn't cost any more than second class stamp!
Anyway enough moaning from me. Don't forget as the weeks go by and we get closer to the final week; be sure to set your expected delivery dates.
i.e. pay by 19th December and receive by 22nd December this will help the buyer make that important choice.
May I wish you all a good Christmas selling!
Best Regards,
Sean
